In 1992, after the devastation which Hurricane Andrew brought to South Florida, Garcia was commissioned to create a painting which was titled Hurricane Andrew- "Heaven and Hell" to be used as the poster for the benefit concert hosted by Gloria Estefan. Sales of the poster raised $30,000 going to the victims of the hurricane.
